Woodland Maternity Photoshoot | Molly & Jon

London Maternity Photographer

On a hot summer day in July, we explored the outdoors in fine clothes and heaps of water. We had a very warm, dry, and sunny summer here in the UK, but Molly and I didn’t complain much. Molly is from Arizona and I was born in Florida, so we were both thoroughly enjoying the sunshine and heat! Although, it was a good thing we planned this photoshoot for the cooler morning hours as we were all sweating by the end!

Molly and Jon wanted more nature/country-side/forest photos rather than anything more urban. We took our time wandering along the trails and photographing along the way.

It’s one of my favourite ways to run a photo session. It’s like a mix between just going for the walk for the sake of walking/enjoying nature and taking photos. A very relaxed with minimal posing type of affair.

I’m not much into the “pose and look at the camera and smile” sort of photographer. Luckily, none of my clients are either. I prefer to make people laugh during our photo sessions and elicit genuine expressions rather than the “CHEESE” that has become so traditional. So, these walk and take photo sessions are a great way to engage in an activity and also capture all of those in between moments when I actually do ask you to do something.

It was such a pleasure photographing Molly and Jon. I wish them all of the best on the next chapter of their lives into parenthood.

Enjoy all of the photos. x
