I had the super immense pleasure of photographing 8 different families in celebration of Mother’s Day–and it also happened to take place on International Women’s Day! Something I did not even clock until one of my repeat families brought me a brownie in honour of the day 🥹
I’ll be honest that I panicked first thing in the morning when I woke up on the day of these minis because Sheffield was covered in thick fog and that deceiving mist where you think you won’t get wet but you end up drenched!
However, I clunggg to the Met Office cloud/rain map that said it would clear up and IT DID.
We still had grey skies, but it was DRY. Which, is honestly the best one can hope for at this time of year in England.
Despite our grey skies, the Botanical Gardens offer such lovely backdrops in March for Mother’s Day. The glass house, some early cherry blossoms, and the camelias really gave it that little bit of Spring vibe.
Be sure sign up to my mailing list to find out about future mini sessions in Sheffield.
