Baby Florence One Month | London Newborn Photographer

Having a baby changes your life. Seemingly from one moment you go from, “oh hey, I have a large tummy and a vague sense that our lives will change soon” to “oh my god, there’s an actual baby in our lives now.”

I photographed Annie’s maternity session back in May and we tried to imagine how her life would change. Overdue at 10 months and waiting for her “perma-preg” period to be over, Annie was more than ready for Florence by June. Florence had her own timetable, however. She waited to grace the world with her presence at 2:50am on the 19th of June.

I was so excited to finally meet Florence one month later and to catch up with Annie and Justin. When I arrived in their London home, I was greeted with smiles and an adorable little baby that couldn’t care less about why I was there. She only had eyes for her mum.

You know how everyone talks about soft baby skin and tiny feet? Florence had the softest and cutest tiny feet I’d seen. I love how Annie at one point joked that she thought her skin was silky smooth after shaving, but not after feeling Florence’s soft skin.

It’s already been almost two months since these photos were taken and I’m sure Florence has grown so much more in that time. I can’t wait to meet her again and watch as she grows and her personality develops. I’m also eager to see how Annie and Justin grow as parents. I’m sure they’ll do great as they were doing amazing already in the first month!

Without further ado, Baby Florence at One Month.
