It’s Mother’s Day here in the UK and I thought it would be a great time to share with you this recent newborn session I photographed.
Babies have their own schedule. They decide when they’re ready to make their appearance into this world (or we decide for them). I’m incredibly flexible when it comes to scheduling newborn sessions as I know babies could care less about your timetable or due date. So, when J hadn’t made his appearance by our first scheduled date, we rescheduled. He also missed our second date by one day, but by early morning on February 16th, M and R welcomed him into the world. A week later, I’m able to meet the three of them in their beautiful home with the sun beautifully shining.
I love the intimacy of in-home sessions.
There’s something very real and visceral about it. You have the comfort of your own home and the familiarity that comes with that.
What I love most about this session is the absolute love and adoration M and R have for their little boy. The tender looks they give one another, the full absorption of their attention on this tiny human that’s entered their lives.
