This newborn session was particularly special because Heather’s family was visiting from the States at the time. Rather than the typical newborn photos I take, the whole family–grandparents from both sides–gathered on a rainy day (that bit is quite typical).
I feel like I’ve said this quite a bit recently, but family is super important to me. I completely empathize with Heather, another American living in the UK far away from her family. It’s hard. You don’t necessarily have the luxury of grandparents stepping in and up to give you a break or let you go out and have a date night when you need it. That’s what made this session so special, though. The whole family was there. Gathered in celebration and happiness and love. I’m incredibly grateful that I was able to capture a few moments depicting that energy I felt in the house.
